The loss of the power of focussed attention is the bane of the modern world, and a big problem for those that want to learn or love to study. Elizabeth Filips is a medical student, painter and Podcaster in London, who has made a video on how to fix the scattered focus that is the result of the overload of information that we are exposed to today. Attention is a limited resource, and it should be used skillfully.

Elizabeth has also authored a book and some essays to help people deal with procrastination, as well as the struggle to keep to a routine in one's life. According to Filips, making all tasks into routines may work for some people, but for others, like herself, fueling the enthausiasm that drives action, is a much more effective, and much kinder way to do things.
