Gezondheidsschade door mondkap:
• Verhoogde CO2-opname leidt tot hypercapnie.
• Verhoogde kans op bacteriële en schimmel longinfectie.
• Inademing van giftige chemicaliën uit het masker.
• Verminderde zuurstofopname leidt tot desoxygenatie van het lichaam.

Maskers vergroten slechts een ieders kans op bacteriële longontsteking omdat men door een smerige lap ademt.
