Berlin state hospitals pause AstraZeneca shots for women staff under 55. BERLIN (Reuters) -Berlin’s state hospital groups Charite and Vivantes on Tuesday stopped giving female staff under the age of 55 shots of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine following further reports of a rare brain blood disorder.
A spokeswoman for Charite said the step was necessary following reports of blood clots known as cerebral sinus vein thrombosis (CSVT) in women in Germany.
